The Album — 2020
The release of BLACKPINK’s debut full-length album was an opportunity for Spotify to stake our claim as the top streaming destination for K-Pop fans everywhere.
For BLACKPINK’s debut album, "THE ALBUM", we played with a theme of introduction as they progressed through their journey to dominate the global music market. On our platform, we created an enhanced album — adding exclusive fun facts, storylines, hidden messages, and our hero videos to the album.
Visualizing the duality of BLACKPINK, we created two worlds that contrasted their sophisticated, edgy Black side with their sweet, poppy Pink side. A trailer featuring the group went viral on Social and we created individual spotlights for each member.
Our truly international campaign spanned five different continents, fifteen markets, and ten different languges. In addition to our standard full-suite of on-platform support, we supported the release with OOH throughout North America and Asia.
